Next Saturday, the Everett Music Initiative is throwing a party. In celebration of the one-year anniversary of their venue The Cannery, three fiery rock bands will be rolling in to chew you up and spit you out. The booker for the lineup of Thunderpussy, The Mama Rags & Born of Ghosts deserves some kind of award.
The sex-fueled, Seattle-born Thunderpussy leaves nowhere to hide with their brand of “anything worth doing is worth overdoing” rock ‘n roll. The Mama Rags brings a vintage 60s/70’s rock sound, southern-tinged and oft compared to Creedence, Cream and Neal Young. Born of Ghosts drive thunderous rock home, mixing decades and genres into a dark, gritty rebellion with the best of the Northwest’s blues-rock revivalists.
