Bikini Kill w/ Table Sugar

Twenty years and not much has changed. Or has it? While the world might look a bit different, the cultural turmoil that legendary feminist punk band Bikini Kill rallied against back in the 90s is still going strong. And so is the band. After reuniting in 2019 — two decades after they called it all off — for a couple of sold out gigs, the band’s massive 2020 reunion tour was cursed by a global pandemic.
So 2022 it was when they finally took to stages across the globe for their long-awaited reappearance on the riot grrrl reunion, which closed out on the lawn at Redmond’s Marymoor Park, just a hop skip and jump away from the band’s origins in Olympia. In attendance were fans of all ages: the original punk kids and their kids alike, plenty of queers, and even some actual kids hanging onto their parentals but having a ball. And y’all, the music still hits. While there are no new tracks to be heard, and no plans for any to come, Bikini Kill still, well, kills, especially when you get to catch the vibe live. If you ever have the chance again, don’t miss it.
