From Disney to touring debutante, Olivia Rodrigo’s very first tour is nothing if not one for the ages. For the second stop of her SOUR TOUR, Rodrigo’s fans lined up hours ahead of time, circling several blocks, just to stake their claim as close to the stage as possible. They were first treated to a sweet set by Gracie Abrams, a pop singer Rodrigo has self-declared as an inspiration. Telltale sign of a good opener is the fact that the crowd new all of Abrams’ music also. They weren’t disappointed. And certainly not so when thousands of cellphones went up in time with Rodrigo appearing on stage and didn’t go down again…ever. If you’ve got tickets in hand for this show (pretty sure the entire tour is sold out), you’re in for a treat. One that’s as cathartic as any teenage heartbreak deserves.
