During Seattle’s summer—once we get through the grueling uncertainties of June-uary—we all know that the happiest hour is any hour spent on a rooftop. So what better way to celebrate arguably the best weather on the planet than with a simmering concert series perched high above the city streets? Enter Motif’s Summer Concert Series at Frolik Kitchen + Cocktails.
Set amidst the iconic Seattle skyline in the heart of downtown, Motif Seattle is a bustling destination hotel full of contemporary, fashion-forward experiences and boasts the largest outdoor deck in the area. Located on that 5th-floor space is Frolik, an innovative restaurant shaking up regional Northwest cuisine while providing plenty of opportunity for mixing and mingling it up. Think shuffleboard and outdoor fireplaces to canoodle by. Add in a super hot lineup of local musical acts and you’ve got a recipe for success.
The concert series kicks off with the vintage-tinged, harmony-laden rock and roll of Smokey Brights, on Thursday, July 6th, and rolls through early September. Catch the sharply-written hooks of The Flavr Blue for some soulful, hip-hop influenced electro-pop, the jangly stoner-rock of Bread & Butter, and the freewheeling, experimental rock of Motopony. It’s a hard-hitting series of shows for sure, so grab your dancing shoes and join us for a cool cocktail in this one-of-a-kind setting.
