Seether w/ Starset and Through Fire
Showbox SoDo, Seattle, WA

Throngs of Seether fans flooded Seattle’s Showbox SoDo lounge early, eagerly awaiting their hard-hitting show. And despite having to battle countless baseball fans and the 21+ door, the sold out venue was full of anticipation.
Omaha, Nebraska hard rock band Through Fire kicked off the night and got the crowd moving. They played some of their hit singles like “Breath,” “Damage,” and “Stronger;” along with a cover of Ellie Goulding’s “Lights,” all of which are part of their 2016 debut full-length, Breathe.
Starset continued the show with their amazing light show and unique drum set encased in a pastel glass-like cage. It showed the drummer inside as well as images that were projected onto the glass. This was all accompanied by two other LED screens and five fog cannons.
Both guitarists played in space suits, complete with helmets that lit up their faces from the inside. Accompanying them were a cello and violinist. Starset played some of their own epic singles including “Ricochet,” “Carnivore,” and “Satellite.”
Finally, with much anticipation and cheering from the crowd, Seether took the stage with their own unique set up of led lights that created countless designs and patterns to dazzle the eyes. They had the crowd singing along to “Broken,” “Words As Weapons,” “Nobody’s Praying,” “Rise Above This,” and “Fake It.”
They also did a cover of “Black Honey,” one of their favorite songs by Thrice. During their final song, “Remedy,” Seether’s frontman Shaun Morgan, hopped down from the stage and proceeded to jam out the rest of his chords while leaning against the barrier in front of the fans. There were many sweaty hugs and back slaps from those close enough to give them. Though Seether did not finish the night with an encore, they still left the crowd utterly satisfied with many great memories.
