Only a few years after forming, Blossoms already have a number 1 album in the UK. Their self-titled debut hit the charts running, and the five-piece is about to take the US by storm, appearing at nearly every festival on this year’s circuit.
But lucky you, they’re stopping in Seattle for a show at Vera Project, the always all-ages music and arts center run by and for youth. They’ve just completed a sold-out headlining tour across the Atlantic and will be supporting pioneering Manchester rock band The Stone Roses at Wembley Stadium in June. So before they hit Coachella, Gov Ball, Firefly, Bonaroo, and Lollapalooza—yes, all of those—make sure you catch them at this intimate venue.
The indie pop-rockers may owe a debt to 80’s, to bands like ABBA, or the Arctic Monkeys, but they’ve got strokes of originality their fans have obviously caught onto. Come out to hear spacey grooves, new wave synths, and warm melodies mingle into a super catchy groove. Joining them for the night will be local pop band Joyfield, so it should be a perfect night of catchy melodies and crazy kids.
