One success begets the next for The Pretty Reckless, as they bring their latest album, Who You Selling For, out on tour. Written on the back of two straight years of touring and much acclaim, this third full-length proves an an aggressive salve for tormented souls. Songwriters Taylor Momsen (vocals/guitar) and Ben Phillips (lead guitar) turned spent emotions into healing for an album that delivers a mature investigation into the human condition.
Simple production, heavy guitars, are raw and brash, while Momsen’s rich vocals add soulful grit to their sound. There’s plenty of blues inspiration on the album, that melts into a hard-rock experiment sure to please their ever-growing fan base. Whether it’s the strutting, rhythmic confidence or their sultry self-effacing lyricism that gets you, be sure to catch the NYC four-piece for a fiery live show.
