Preview: Sum 41
The Neptune Theare, Seattle, WA
10.29.16
With the release of their 6th studio album, 13 Voices, out for less than a month, Sum 41 is headed to Seattle on Saturday, October 29th for a show at the Neptune Theatre. They bring with them hardcore band Senses Fail and pop rock act, As It Is, on their “Don’t Call it a Sum-Back Tour.” A punny title for their first major headlining tour following their first album release in 5 years. The world needs more Sum 41 in it and Seattle will we ready for this punk rock show when they hit the stage Saturday night.
Out on the road with 10 brand new songs to share, they went a lot heavier with these new songs than their previous records. Especially on tracks like “Goddamn I’m Dead Again” which features a heavy metal solo riff in the breakdown. They bring on new, heavier, influences but keep the classic Sum 41 pop-rock with the popular track, “Fake my Own Death,” with a heavy verse that leads into a classic pop-punk chorus Sum 41 are so good at doing.
Along with a new album Sum 41 have brought back long time guitarist, Dave Baksh. This tour, now featuring three guitarists, a new album with heavy rock influence, and a revitalized “Come Back” mindset is bound to create one hell of a show Saturday at the Neptune Theatre in Seatttle. Tickets still available here.
