It’s likely that when you think of a banjo, punk rock is not the first thing that comes to mind. The Devil makes Three is about to change all of that. The three-piece crew from Santa Cruz, CA, whip up a haberdashery of folk, rock, rockabilly, blues, and bluegrass with the energy of an old school garage punk band.
An Americana force to be reckoned with, the band is bringing their guitar, banjo, and bass to Showbox SoDo for a two night stint on October 6th & 7th. They are touring in support of their latest album Redemption & Ruin, a carefully curated collection of 12 cover songs. Half of these are gospel songs on the darker end of the spectrum (Redemption) and half are songs about vice (Ruin). TDM3 chose these artists to create original approaches to these classic songs and show their fans who their inspirations are.
