When It’s Dark Out Tour
WaMu Theater, Seattle, WA
01.07.16
Get ready to throw some bras folks, G-Eazy (née Gerald Gillium) is coming to town. With the December 2015 release of his sophomore major-label album When It’s Dark Out, the Oakland-born indie hip hop artist is once again attacking the charts as a rap MVP. The future-looking artist has become known as “the James Dean of rap” with his all-black attire, leather jackets and pompadour hipster hair, digging deep into the mainstream with international headlining tours.
Expect a sizeable crowd (the show is sold out) of screaming fans looking forward to the rapper’s typically approachable stage persona. His infectious energy and Bay Area-style rhymes have taken a slightly more serious turn on the new material, but his engaging bravura and self-assured demeanor will win over even the most cynical of hip hop fans. Plus, this time he’s bringing the electrically leering A$AP Ferg along for the ride.
