snow-cap-party-2015-lights-mowgliesGet ready for a night of pop debauchery. While there may not be any actual snow falling on the streets of SoDo, this Saturday Pyramid Alehouse will host their 18th annual Sno Cap Party. Presented by 107.7 The End & The Stranger – and benefiting the Northwest Avalanche Center – this year’s party brings together SoCal feel-good indie rock outfit The Mowgli’s and Canadian pop singer Lights.

Taking on 80s synth-pop with her third full length – 2014’s Little Machines – Lights has managed to deliver structured, radio-friendly tracks with broad appeal, toning down her grittier edges with undeniable catchiness. It’s perfect for a party, with heavy beats and romantic melodies, and she’s not bad to look at either.

The Mowgli’s give you a whole lot more to look at with a staggering seven band members. Out to change the world through do-gooding and kindness, The Mowgli’s sound is upbeat, summery, and full of relatable lyrics about love and youth and life. On their 2015 album Kids in Love their prodigious positivity reigns supreme, and their performances are humble, happy and a free-for-all of jubilantly breezy pop.

Plus there’s beer. And a raffle (for all sorts of winter-themed prizes). And probably ice carving. So get your tickets and #GetSnowedIn for the night.

Get your tickets online or at the alehouse.
