El Corazon got rocked on Thursday night, as Michigan-based melodic death metal band The Black Dahlia Murder made a heart-stopping visit. This group has seen plenty of personnel changes since their inception in 2001, yet they’ve pumped out seven full length albums as well as a handful of EP’s. Their latest work, Abysmal, was released a couple weeks before their current Indie Merch Tour, which spans 21 US and Canadian dates throughout October. While the blast beats, high speeds, and growling vocals may be too much for some, the five members of TBDM seemed laid back and genuine on Thursday night. Beer in hand, they watched El Corazon get packed wall to wall, as multi-colored lights highlighted a crowd that was busy enjoying every moment of their 45-minute set.
