Honoring their tenth year in the business, San Diego-based deathcore band Carnifex made a stop in Seattle on Sunday, loaded with ammunition for their Decade of Despair Tour. This group has punched out five albums and an EP over the last ten years, as well as having signed to Victory before signing with current label Nuclear Blast. Studio 7 was packed for this show, as teenagers and thirty-somethings alike jostled for the best spot. The crowd had a ton of energy. Carnifex displayed a tremendous stage presence, giving the intimate venue a festival-like atmosphere. The dedication and love for their craft, albeit dark, angry, and devoid of hope, still shines through their live set.
