Co-headlining and representing both the east and west coasts, Pure Noise Records bands The Story So Far and Four Year Strong hit the Showbox on Wednesday night with their melodic, pop punk sensibilities. Between the two, some 22-odd years of generating, recording, and playing music makes for a great touring combination. And, not only do they share the same genre and general fanbase, but their live shows generate a ton of excitement and energy. All of the boys were ready to create an amazing Seattle show.
Never out of tune and always in step with one another, the vocalists for Four Year Strong, Alan and Dan, played key roles in a set that did not disappoint. It was clear that they love playing for the Seattle crowd. Dedicated and loyal fans, for both bands, showed up in droves, and could’ve easily sold out a larger venue. The Story So Far has garnered so many fans that one’s time and attention was divided just trying to find a good view. Putting in all of their chips, FYS and TSSF are gaining plenty of good feedback on their latest albums, both released within the last month. Fans went crazy for seemingly every song, and all of the words became a blur as the house sang along.
