All Get Out w/ Mae and Mike Mains & the Branches
Neumos, Seattle, WA
06.02.15

Energetic southern alt rock laced with punk screams, played hard and loud. The guys of All Get Out graced the Neumos stage this week, sandwiched between openers Mike Mains & The Branches and headliner Mae, who were celebrating the tenth anniversary of their Everglow album. Sounding like a mashup of Mae and Manchester Orchestra, All Get Out holds their own on a live stage.

Touring after the April release of their Movement EP – four years after their debut full-length – All Get Out is a band that’s been around the block but still feels fresh, raw, and ultimately talented. Lead vocalist/guitarist Nathan Hussey throws caution to the wind, belting out lyrics as if his life depended on it, while another guitarist played til his fingers bled. For one song, they played completely off-mic. While admirable, the effort can be disappointing for appreciative fans and the band alike when the crowd is chattering loudly over the music.

Despite the challenge, the band forged on. With readily apparent chemistry and enthusiastic head-banging, AGO slayed us with their hauntingly catchy sound. We stand in anticipation of an as-yet-untitled full-length later this year, and hope to sit down with Hussey and the band for a chat about where they’re headed from here.

For now, get your hands on a copy of their latest here.
