Ellie Rowsell steps to the mic as the front woman of the raucous band Wolf Alice. As the first chords leave her guitar, it’s as if thunder is clapping within the Crocodile. The crowd erupts in unison with a mighty cheer, as the other instruments fill the room and bring forth all of the audible force that is Wolf Alice. Other than taking momentary breaks to thank the crowd for coming out, Wolf Alice was non-stop; high vocal energy backed by rough but vibrant guitars, and members who allow the music to flow freely through them, controlling their wild action. Wolf Alice is not to be missed, but cannot be watched halfheartedly. You need to come prepared to rock, because they certainly are.
