Cartel
El Corazon, Seattle, WA
05.12.15
Pop punk sensations Cartel made a stop at El Corazon on Tuesday night, breathing life into an otherwise mundane Seattle evening. Taking their album Chroma for a 10th anniversary spin, the boys are celebrating both their blowup success and their knack for keeping the dream alive with kick-ass music.
Tons of people showed up, packing all four walls at El Corazon. The mood was jovial and relaxed, as everyone in the crowd beamed from ear to ear. Every song was sung by the house, and by no means was Cartel alone on stage. The band seemed to be thoroughly enjoying their time in Seattle, as the stage lights took turns in colors through the night. From Conyers, Georgia, the four boys of Cartel have been playing and enjoying success together for a dozen years now. Chroma, their breakout album, holds hits such as “Say Anything (Else)” and “Honestly,” selling over 3000 copies in its first week. Their latest full length, Collider, was released in March of 2013.
