Raw Fabrics
El Corazon Lounge, Seattle, WA
02.05.15
Coming off of their first national tour, the LA-based band Raw Fabrics made their way to El Corazon on Thursday, giving the Seattle crowd a riveting glimpse of things to come. Raw Fabrics recently put out their first release, an EP entitled Gold Handcuffs, back in September. Music videos and lengthy tours have since commenced, and one can tell that their catchy, pop-sprinkled rock not only leaves them plenty of avenues to stroll, but also extends the olive branch to surefire, radio-friendly waves.
Taking over the lounge side of El Corazon, everyone in attendance was having a very good time. This was an intimate show, and offered a great chance to catch these young guys in the act. Their logo projected on the backdrop, as multi-colored lights shot to and fro. They were absolutely comfortable on stage, jumping about, chatting, and switching instruments as well. Bass player Justus Dixon took over on guitar, while lead man Jack B. Franco grabbed a tom and headed for the floor. The last song was performed off-stage, save for drummer Jon Fredrik. The stage presence of Raw Fabrics was impressive, and I would urge anyone who has the opportunity to go see them and get ready to have a great time. Their EP Gold Handcuffs is available on iTunes.
