Tribal Seeds

On a cold January evening, the Tribal Seeds brought their Winter Chillin’ tour and a bit of island warmth for the crowd at the Showbox Market in support of their latest release, Representing, which has been recognized as one of 2014’s top ten reggae albums on Billboard, as well as on iTunes.
Opening up the night were the talented Leilani Wolfgramm and HIRIE, both of whom brought intense energy and presence to the stage and truly hyped up the crowd. They are definitely up and coming artists that any fan of reggae should check out.
The Tribal Seeds are one of my favorite reggae bands for one reason: passion. Their songwriting explores many themes, but I believe they excel in the realm of love. After opening with “Representing”, the title track off of their latest release, the show built on that energy to some of my favorites, such as “Beautiful Mysterious” and “Dark Angel”. Their set was a continuous flow of tight reggae rhythms and palpable chemistry that kept the crowd dancing throughout the show, which ultimately ended with “Vampire”.
The Tribal Seeds have established themselves as one of the nation’s premiere reggae bands, and they continue to prove that with an evident passion for their music that translates into an amazing live performance.
