Preview: Tribal Seeds

San Diego, CA rock-reggae maestros Tribal Seeds are coming to Seattle to bring some island vibe to our Pac-NW winter. Originally started by brothers Steven Rene Jacobo (lyrics, vocals, guitar) and Tony-Ray Jacobo (producer, keyboards, vocals), Tribal Seeds now have six members including Carlos Verdugo (drums), Victor Navarro (bass), E.N Young (keyboards, vocals) & Ryan Gonzo (guitar, vocals).
Their musical talent and signature sound have yielded four studio albums and one EP of the past nine years, including their latest release, the highly anticipated, “Representing”. During this time, they have toured with artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack White, and Matisyahu among others.
The first time I heard Tribal Seeds I was driving around the island of Oahu and it was the perfect soundtrack as the Hawaiian landscape surrounded me. It has been a cold winter of late, treat yourself to some warm island rhythms at the Showbox Sodo on January 22nd. Tickets start at $17.50 and are well worth it.
