Steel Panther
Showbox SoDo, Seattle, WA

Get ready for exaggeration. They may have started as a parody of American hair metal bands, but Steel Panther can rock in their own right and they’re coming to Seattle to show off. The band is known for their over-the-top stage posturing and incredibly profane lyrics, but they also carry with them some pretty heavy credibility, having opened for Judas Priest, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe.
Is their music misogynistic – yes, and if you’re old enough, it might remind you of your youth, being an accurately contrived stereotype of the 1980’s in all its guts and glory. It says something that their albums have charted in both rock and comedy, and the band seems perfectly content with being hysterical. Make sure that you bring your sense of humor for this one.
