After being kicked out of his first band that made him famous, former Chiodos front man Craig Owens came back to Warped Tour 2011 with a new identity, new sound, and new band, Destroy Rebuild Until God Shows. Or for short D.R.U.G.S. This post hardcore band and super group also consists of Matt Good, former From First to Last, Nick Martin former Underminded, Adam Russel former Story of The Year, and Aaron Stern, former Matchbook Romance. With an unbelievable line-up, full of amazing talented musicians their set on the Vans Warped Tour was not one to miss.
Even though they played at noon on the last day of Warped Tour, they played like they were the last band to play. Opening up with the song The Only Thing You Talk About, the crowd got a taste of Craig Owens A cappella skills. While the drummer and guitarist mainly stayed situated in the same area during the entire set, bassist Adam Russell was the most active moving around the stage, never staying in the same location to long. At times it almost seemed like Russell and Owens were competing, kindly, for space on the stage as they crossed paths. With a 30 minutes set time, D.R.U.G.S only had time to play about 7 of their uniquely titled songs including Laminated E.T Animal and Mr. Owl Ate My Metal Worm. D.R.U.G.S Warped Tour 2011 experience came to an end with their final song if You Think This Song Is About You, It Probably Is. Directed towards his former band who kicked him out it was their first hit song, first music video, and last song preformed on the 2011 Vans Warped Tour.
